I have big reactors, reactorcraft, ic2, gregtech, and a few other mods

Hook the turbine up to either a rotational dynamo or use one of the new multiblocks, which I believe is called an industrial turbine. Those will convert directly to RF. If you don't want RF, then ElectriCraft or a lot of shafts.

Does it convert to EU at all, or is RF the only thing it goes out to bud ?

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the top-tier EU producer in powerconverters wouldn't be able to handle the millions of RF/t you can get from the RC fusion reactor?

Possibly. But only with multiple bridge/eu producer setups going. Even then, would still be quite a bit needed.

  1. What is the time/materials requirement ranking for each of the mods systems?
  2. what is the fiddliness ongoing running effort/materials costs ranking?
  3. And this is really subjective - fun to effort ratio?
I have played a few modpacks over the last 1.5 years on and off but never got around to building the IC2 reactor and always wanted too. Now started monster and pondering which way to go. I am keen on the IC techs prior to their likely demise from packs in the future but if the IC reactor is too small an output for too much effort and ongoing fiddliness maybe I will go with Big Reactors?

Advice welcome. Cheers

Most fun IMO is RoC and addons.

I tend to use a bit of everything. I tend to use big reactors for a starter power source. I've found it the easiest to gather materials for. A modest size reactor nets anywhere from 6-12k Rf/tick. But with RoC, it'd be best to go for a Tokamak Reactor (Fusion). That combined with Power converts can give ya any kind of power you'd ever need. As far as whether it is fun or not really depends on your style of play imo. If you like making something different, and different complex systems, it definitely can be.
