First of all, sorry for my bad english, i'm spanish XD.

I have the Direwolf20 pack (v4) Minecraft version 1.4.6 installed. I disabled ExtrabiomesXL cuz I dont like it. The problem is that I download additional pipes, and I install it well, but when I run minecraft, it doesn't appear. I did the same with another mod and all was ok, so I don't know what's wrong.

Probably incompatible mods? I installed additional objects from buildcraft.

Thanks for reading ^_^

As far as I know Additional Pipes is only up to date for Minecraft 1.2.5 (or something like that), so it needs a pretty big update to be able to use it in 1.4.x (which is what all the FTB mods pack are).

I don't know if there is anyone working on it, if there is an "illegal" 3rd party update, or if the original author has any intend to update it soon. Personally I wouldn't hold my breath though because chances are it won't get updated any time soon and copyright stuff makes any 3rd party update a violation of that copyright. I do think that if someone was to make a similar mod that there isn't much to complain about though, as long as it is different enough to not be confused.

That said, I'm pretty sure there is another (newer) mod that adds TP pipes. There is also a topic about that floating around these forums, so a simple search should get you more info pretty easily.

Hey don't blame Krapht for taking his time updating (if ever) 1.3 was a hard update

No one is blaming him for anything here... As far as I know Additional pipes isn't even made by Krapht, I could be wrong though (I only know he made the original Logistics pipes and there are 3rd party ports for that).

And you can't blame me for saying "I don't think there will be an update any time soon", I mean that mod (Additional pipes) hasn't seen official updates in over 6 months (or is it more than 1 year already?). It's not that weird to assume someone lost interest in MC modding (or some other reason to stop modding MC), but that they won't be coming back anytime soon (if ever).

This is the version I use and it works just fine. I found it while looking for texture packs lol.

Thanks for posting that :D I'll be trying that out right now :p :D

Edit: well there are no conflicts in the Mindcrack pack, but some pipes seem to be a bit bugged. The Distribution pipe also outputs to sides that aren't connected (though that could be intentional, I guess) and the Adv. Wooden Pipe doesn't seem to work at all.

Strange, I've been using the adv. wood pipe and the insertion pipe to make auto bee breeders and they have been awesome cause you can also set to to ignore some items and it will pull the rest. I think the dist. pipe will output to any side that is set to 1. To cut it off set it to 0. Why isn't this in the FTB pack anyway?

Well, I've asked on the GitHub of the mod and they told me it works with Autarchic gates, so if you use those to power the Adv. Wooden Pipes it would make sense you never had trouble. Personally I'd like to power them with engines though and that isn't working for me. That could intentional, but to me it doesn't make much sense because it makes the settings of the Adv. Wooden pipe harder to access (I could only open the interface of the gate after putting it on there).

The Distribution pipe, you're right about that. Maybe I should've clarified that a bit more, but that's what I meant with that it could be intentional (that stuff is output to an unconnected side which is set to anything but 0). I don't think it used to be like that in older versions, but I could be wrong.

As for the Insertion pipe, I haven't said anything is wrong with them :p I'm used to the Additional Buildcraft Objects Insertion pipe and as far as I know the 2 are very similar, if not the same.

I agree it should be in FTB by default. The pipes this mod adds are pretty much a must for any decent BC pipe network that doesn't use Logistics Pipes. But I think there are a few others that also belong in the category of "must have pipe mods if you're not using Logistics Pipes": Additional Buildcraft Objects and Routing pipe. The Valve mod isn't bad either, but with the arrival of Liquiducts in TE I personally don't miss that mod all that much.

btw, I tested the Water Pipe (or whatever it's called, it sucks up water into a pipe) and it is a lot faster than an Aqueous Accumulator, just place it with a (small) tank on top and then hook up your Liquiducts to that.

I personal haven't tried the water pump pipes, may have to check them out though. I wasn't trying to imply that there was something wrong with the insertion pipes I was simply stating that i use them. As for the adv. wood pipe I actually use redstone engines for extraction. Now that I think about it I don't have any that are set on "pull these items" or what not. Mine are all set to "ignore these items".

hmmm, maybe there is a conflict or something in my install in that case. I'll try removing some mods I added manually to see if that makes any difference. Though it is a bit weird that they work with Autarchic gates then and not with engines, I'd expect it to either work with both or not at all if there was a conflict or something.
I did try the include and exclude settings and having items in the filter and having the filter empty, I pretty much went through every possible combination and non of it worked with an engine.

Edit: What is this witchery?! It works fine now... With all the additional mods I manually installed, so no conflicts or anything.
I really have no clue why it's working now and why it didn't work before, but whatever the issue was it fixed itself.
