I cannot break ANY blocks

Hi, i just made a Twilight Forest portal, jumped in there with my friend and as soon as we get in i couldn't break any blocks but I could place blocks, i backed up the world before hand so i reverted back to that save and when it loaded up i still could break NO blocks, when i left click nothing happens at all, my arm does not move or anything. I'm st a loss and have NO idea what to do, any help would be awesome, thank you

P.S. : No, I am not in Adventure mode

Try moving out of spawn
Normally around 15 blocks from where you started .
