Hey, not sure if you found it or not, but I had a similar issue with the creative decoration tab crashing my client(said something about germlings in the crash). I found if I join a single player world it would fix the issue as I was having it on a server and not a single player world. hope that helps, sorry if it was SSP I'm not sure what to try for that if it's crashing there on the deco. tab.
