Hubris Thaumcraft 4 Can't use Infusion Altar

are you over a chunk boundary? if you have NEI you can check with F9

I've build some altar cross chunk boundry. All work correctly. so it not stay-in-chunk problem

Yes you can build over a chunk boundary and things might work out fine, but two neighboring chunks are not guaranteed to update close together(in time). If you can avoid building over a chunk boundary then you might as well not build over it.

His problem getting fixed by rebuilding it also points to it being a chunk problem.

No the infusion altar is in the middle of a chunk.
