Added some more information about my findings on the BT Engine form now on we will call it the BEAST Engine.

An interesting concept, but .4 MJ/t is very little power. Truth is the Blulectric engine just isn't very good, it needs rather large solar or wind power farms to keep it running at any kind of useful speed. And instead of building that, you could spend all those resources in building some actual BC power infrastructure instead, like a small boiler setup.

Vary well aware of that. But the whole point of this was to show what can be done with the BT engine.

May not be efficient, but those windmills look impressive and worth the effort.

Hey Saice, something interesting for you.

I was mucking around with my sorting system, and I had to disconnect my Sorter from it's power supply. After pumping through loads of items to ensure my system is sorting correctly, the stored energy in the Sorter has hardly dropped.
A single thermopile can easily keep the sorting machine going, with energy over for more. I have a feeling that this is incorrect, as it just doesn't seem right.

Yes all RP machines have a internal battery. As long as your do nothing to make them use that power they will keep it forever. Most machines like the sorter or manager only use power when they deal with items. And the sorter actully does not use all that much per item. Feed it a sack full of stacks space out to force it to sort each item and you will see it chew through the battery on board. You can see this as a set of gages on the machines UI.

You can see this vary well with the electric furnace. Change it up make sure both bars are full cut its wire and then give it a stack to burn. It will eat about 20 blocks before its internal battery runs out. RP machines are really efficient... well unless we look at the pump or engine.

Pro tip. if you have multiple machines you don't need to wire them all if they can touch each other they will pass a charge to any other RP machine that they touch. So save on wiring and just connect one.

I wish IC2 and BC energy networks could do this. My only complaint about Thermal Expansion is that I can't hide its conduits and I need one for every machine.

No you don't Trust me we already have a huge issue with IC2 having all different levels of power and blowing up already.

Oh let me just plop this down.. BOOM!

Oh let me just switch up these upgrades a little bit.... BOOM!

Oh let me look at my machine room for a second the wrong way.... BOOM!.
