Hi
Im playing on a server that do not have redpower2
I am trying to setup a automatic system to burn wood in generators.

I am using transport pipes.
Wood is going to iron furnaces that are converting the wood into charcoal.
Then the charcoal is transported to my generators.

I have noticed that when one gnerator or furnace is full. The item that happen to move toward that specific machine is spitted out on the ground and not bouncing back to the other machines that got free slots to fill.

What should i do about this?
How can i make sure that my charcoal and wood is not spitted out on the floor when one machine is full?

Edit:
I would normaly use tubes from redpower. I think they are better. But now im left without that mod and can not do it.
Pls, anoyne got a solution?

Use transfer node and transfer pipes, you only need a transfer node placed on the item you are pulling out of, so in your case, transfer node on furnace then transfer pipes to generator. These wont spill like buildcraft pipes.

look up the ExtraUtilities mod. They're from that mod and you can find more info on it's page.
Hoppers and Tesseracts combine very well with them to make a "leak proof" system.

I have to say it's not impossible to create a leak proof system with pipes either, but you're likely going to have to make loops and have gates to detect overflow and shut down the system if need be. It's a lot more complicated and than transfer pipes though.

You don't need to do looping. Just space in inventory energy pulser

Yeah, except that doesn't handle the stuff that's already in a pipe. For short distances with stackable items it's fine, but if you have very long pipes that aren't (partially) made of gold, or you're dealing with items that don't stack, then you can still run into issues with stuff spilling out. I prefer to use whatever has the smallest chance of failing and loops are definitely more reliable than gates in my book.

The way transport pipes handle full inventories, is that if there is an alternative path at the same junction that the full inventory is at, it will go the alternative path(es). This means you can technically put your machines in series. When one is full the items should just move along the same path. Here is an example of it working. This system accepts x amount of sand from my AE system and then the sand loops back and forth, filling up any space that is made once the furnaces are completed their work.

I sometimes request 2000 glass from this system. The AE system will send 2000 sand in one clump to this set of machines and you can see 2000 or so sand flying backwards and forwards slowly filling any space that appears.

Factorization's Router is great for banks of generators. Logistics Pipes are great as well. Extra Utilities Item Transfer node and pipes works, but are slow until you can afford the upgrades.
