How to increase singeplayer FPS

hey guys so i was wondering how can i increase singeplayer fps because in multiplayer i have like 400-500 fps and singeplayer 170 max and i tried optifine but it cause alot world bugs so any one can help me with that

Why do you need more than 170 fps? Most people here would love to get a stable 60. If you want to increase FPS turn your render distance to lowest, particles off, and use default textures, and your game will look like crap. If you want a nice looking game, turn on VSYNC, enable particles and use far render distance. You could also try a texture pack, popular ones include Soartex, Sphax, Faithful, and JohnSmith.

170 is nice.... 400-500 is better..... Care to share a screenshot of the upper range?

You can always set up another computer hat your house and run a server on it. That should increase your FPS as long as your server is up for it.

I'd consider 170 fps to be beyond perfection with a mod pack. What kind of rig are you using?

Wish I could get 140 fps... the thing is I can't use my graphics card, I have to use intel graphics (ATI Catalyst gives me BSOD's fer days). Not exactly a top end lappy, but I do have 4gb ram. I used to be able to run tekkit (when ftb wasn't out) at a good 60 fps. Then It slowly 'decayed' to 20/10fps. Even a format would do nothing. Thinking I may need a new laptop, but I'm kinda used to this 20fps and mah keyboard. I even tried installing optifine D5 for 1.4.6(7) and saw a slight increase (5-10fps) because I could change my smooth lighting to 1% so those redpower blocks don't annoy me.

Turns out I didn't. Heres the image (This is just after the world starts leaking and here's the proof:

Enable VSYNC. It will lock your FPS to whatever your monitor is capable of displaying, likely 60, but in rare cases it can be 75 or 120. If your computer is that powerful is should have no problem holding 60 FPS steady, should be smooth.

That makes it worse. The only reason im getting lag is because Theres a world hole with TONS of mobs in it

Thought I did we'll with hitting 50 in a plain and 22 in a forest. 100+?!? One can dream.
400/700 is just redic. You're wasting good computer power on such a simple game.

Not really, I have an overclocked server dedicated to a private server... Some of my friends when they connect report frame rates 200+. I've maxed out myself at 175ish.

I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to the person who created the thread. Mainly because this is his thread, not yours, although you seem to not care and are posting your problem here.
