I cannot figure out how to use the pipe pump and I cannot figure out how to get those last few drops of jet fuel out of those fuel lines. Does anyone have any idea how to work these things? I can't figure it out or find documentation on it.

I'm not sure any actually remains in them if they're connected to a container with the capacity for the fluid. I think they just take on the appearance of having the liquid in them once it is the first time. Since they technically have an infinite capacity.

So what is a pipe pump for then? I read that it is for actually pushing the excess liquid out of the pipes into the containers.

I thought the pump was to get fluid out of containers and into the pipe. So we all confuse. :p

To get it out of the container aka a reservoir I just put the pipe under the reservoir. I'm not quite sure then. @Reika Do you have any idea, and please don't eat me... :(

Just to clarify, this is for v25 and I suppose above as I will be moving into that soon-ish

Like in real life, RC pipes can never be completely emptied, as they are driven by fluid pressure, which drops to zero as the level approaches zero. At best, you can reduce the level to something like 4mB per block, small enough that cost and loss are not really a concern.

The pipe pump is for "helping" the fluid flow; rather than transferring a portion of the difference between pipe blocks, as is normal, it transfers 100% of the contents of the input pipe to the output pipe. Used in chains, you can use them to ensure more than 98% of the fluid you produce at the source makes it to the destination, rather than about 25% of it.

Thank you Reika!

Edit: Do you put them directly against each other or inbetween fluid pipes so pump->pipe->pump->pipe. or ->pump->pump->pump->machine

Note that pipe pumps also work on ReC steam lines.

EDIT:
You cannot chain pumps directly, nor would you want to. Each has a minimum power of 4kW at 4096 rad/s.

So wait, are you a dragon or a fox, I have no idea what != means.

Either way, I'd rather not get eaten by either of them.
