I decided to go exploring today, but totally forgot to edit my extra biomes config when I updated the pack. As a result, all the new chunks don't match where I had already explored, resulting in all around me unsightly cliff faces and mismatch biomes. It's really spoilt my world.

Is there some tool that I can flag all the chunks outside my base area to be flagged as unexplored, so they are regenerated? If so, how do I go about doing it?

TIA

1. Stop server

2. Download the world folder to your pc (if your PC is the server then skip this step)

3. Download mcedit

4. Open the level.dat file in the world folder with mcedit

5. Either select the problem chunks and click delete chunk or select the parts you want to keep and click trim

7. Ctrl + S to save

8. Upload world folder to server if needed and start the server

Thank you. I'll give that a try and hopefully the chunks will regenerate with the correct biomes, or at least with biomes that match the existing ones closer.

Really miffing me that I forgot to update my config file, just caused me more headache!

Use one of the latest dev versions, it should work fine as long as you only delete stuff. Moving or copying blocks is still kinda messed up.

OK. That's all I'm planning on doing, is deleting all the new chunks I explored, correct my EXBL config file, and hope the new chunks match the existing landscape better.

Well, it worked. Not perfect, but better then it was. It's almost like the seed of my world has changed with the new worldgen. Still getting massive differences in heightmaps and totally different biomes even with the same config file.

That kind if stinks. I have not had this particular problem since a long time ago playing with no mods.
