Hi, I want to make custom villager trade options and I cannot figure out how, I heard MCedit can do it but I also thought that mcedit doesn't support modded block id's and will mess the map up. Is there any way I can edit villager trading for my server?

Supposedly in a recent update (a few months ago) they added better support for modded blocks as in not destroying them but I have yet to test this.

I'd kinda like to know if it would work before I test it and do irreversible damage to the map. Even if things did appear to be right after I tried it, how would I know? they support block id's that go to 4096, does ftb have any more higher than that?

Should note that I am using unleashed

I loaded up a singleplayer world with it and it seemed to not have slain all the modded blocks, and everything appears to be normal... I shall do some further tests, if possible can anyone mention some alternative methods just incase this actually does screw up? eh another thing, can someone tell me the block limit on forge/what it goes up to? is it 4096 or higher than that?

Alright, Mcedit should work, is there any signs I should look out for that mc edit would have messed something up? I remember using mcedit in 1.8 and I loved it, I would be ecstatic if I could use it on ftb.

Some blocks might have disappeared or stuff inside them might have changed. Check the blocks and if everything is fine MCEdit is fine.

Ok so basically I placed down a mining turtle, a macerator and a endertank, I put milk in the ender tank, and iron ore in the macerator. Loaded mcedit up and created a custom villager trade and saved and logged back in and everything was the same, so is it safe to use? I just want to make sure so that I don't go playing on a map that is messed up for ages and then find out a long time later and have to revert/restart.

after testing with what I think would screw up the most it hasn't messed anything up even when I move portable tanks with liquids or ender tanks with liquids even, all the blocks seem to be in tact... I am not sure what to do here other than hope that it doesn't mess anything up and make many many many backups :p

I assume its safe if it hasn't messed anything up yet, I can always just restart my world I suppose if anything too major goes wrong. Thanks everyone, I would like to hear others experience with mcedit with ftb (version 0.1.7.1 of mcedit)

I also would like to know any other ideas to test to make sure it would work and how I could test it extensively to be sure.

Edit: Whoops I meant to do edit on my old post and accidentally replied

This is actually for a server at spawn like a shop, shopkeeper plugin did not work so I had to resort to this, which seems to be working fine
