If I remember correctly, there was a change to make Redstone Engine to be useless except for working on wooden pipes?
Correction it is a 1.5.2 pack so way back when thermal expansion really started to branch away from ic2 and become its own mod/systemOnly in the newest versions. Unleashed is a 1.6.4 pack and it works in them.
I'm just now realizing that you did my joke an hour before I did. ALSO I looked for anyone else doing it and I still missed yours. Because I'm blind? How much lava can a lava pump pump, if a lava pump could pump lava?
I see where the OP was going, I just had to finish it up properly.

I stand corrected. I do remember being able to use the TE pipes with ic2 in ultimate and that maybe where my confusion liesOops, you are correct on the version. But TE was never related to ic2 in any way. Although it wasn't fully stand alone at the beginning(it ran on MJ which was Buildcraft), it became stand alone when RF was invented and King Lemming added dynamos.
I feel like you used a calculator XDA pump(BC) uses 10MJ per block(bucket) it pumps, and can do so at a max rate of 20 buckets/s or 10MJ/t.
A redstone engine produces at maximum(red state) 0.08MJ/t
A bucket of lava lasts 1000ticks in a Geothermal Generator.
The lava pumped by 4 Redstone engines = Power/Energy per block = (4*0.08Mj/t)/(10MJ/b) = 0.032b/t = 0.64b/s (no where near potential of pump so no people don't need another..)
Total number of Geothermals sustained by 4 Redstone Engines = Lava per tick * Tick per bucket = (4*0.08Mj/t)/(10MJ/b)*(1000t/b) = 32
Little bit. Slightly overkill for this perhaps since the only thing to calculate is 4*8I feel like you used a calculator XD

Lol haven't seen one those in years. My dad had one but he lost it in his garage somewhere. Now we are all using the ti-84'sLittle bit. Slightly overkill for this perhaps since the only thing to calculate is 4*8
One of the best investments I have ever madeLol haven't seen one those in years. My dad had one but he lost it in his garage somewhere. Now we are all using the ti-84's
