How many Portal Guns / Spawner have you found in chests?

I think the only thing anyone thinks when they find dungeons is "Please be a portal gun!" (I dont think theres anything else useful that is hard to make >.>)

So.. How many have you found? I have found 2 on 2 different worlds :D

Six altogether. Is there a way to change their color by hand? Because as of now, I have 5 of the same color. ^^

I have 5 portal guns and about 10 spawners.. Having mystcraft installed makes it ridiculously easy. Just make a flat land plains biome and fly around for a bit.

Hey! Can you help me with mystcraft. I have a jungle hills page but like, what the hell am I meant to do with it? XD

I'm having super bad luck with these, haven't found one yet, which is just bloody grand because I'm a very active portal gun user and when I have it, then I have it on my hotbar non-stop.

So I went ahead and made one.

Only one so far. It was when I just started my first brand new Ultimate world. I had an established Mindcrack world so I was just about to quit Ultimate when I found the portal gun. That one item made me stay my Ultimate world which I'm pretty happy with so far.

I seem to have had back luck finding them now, but I used to get them quite often. My best suggestion is a ThaumCraft Barrow. Three chests with decent loot, if you don't mind the wisps.
There is a config setting for what chests you can find them in, including a Bonus Chest. Personally, I find it a bit tedious to explore thousands of blocks looking for a Barrow and hoping it has a portal gun, so I typically have the bonus chest loot enabled. I don't have that enabled currently, though. My desire for a quick portal gun isn't as high right now.

This game, two portal guns and a single portal spawner.

Last game, I gave up and made one and over the next two days found four guns and a pair of portal spawners.

I've never seen one outside a TC chest (altar, barrow, or greatwood), but others appear to have done so.

Note that the default one can be given a color (only the potatOS and pork ones are personal, all others are shared among all players) or it can be uncrafted and be crafted into a pair of portal spawners. None of the rest can be recolored or uncrafted.

didn't know it possible to find spawners in chests, i updated my DW20 to ultimate and i didn't explor so much.

Total I've probably found at least 20 but I also have it enabled to find them in all possible locations allocated by the config.
