This is the problem: FTB recently updated itself. Now when I go into third party packs, a lot of the packs I used to have there are no longer there. For instance Agraian Skies, and Crash landing are missing. So I decided to uninstall it and reinstall it to see if that fixes the problem....Only thing is I cannot find the uninstall. So how do I uninstall it and reinstall it so I have my packs back and saves? I tried moving my crashing landing save to the curse launcher...but it is missing my minimap, entirely...although it is installed I tried turning it off and on in the settings and still no go. So how do I uninstall it and reinstall it without losing any modpack saves and info?

Okay...the modpacks disappearing seem to have resolved themselves. They are now back listed on the launcher...but for future reference I still would like to know the proper way to uninstall FTB launcher so I can reinstall it if need be in the future.

It doesn't actually "install" just delete the .exe file wherever you run it from
Thank you. :) I thought that that was it....but I wasn't sure if it would delete all the file folders and games and saves that it had installed. Odd how the packs disappeared for a bit but now they have returned on their own. Just odd.

It depends on the system where the files are but the proper way to "reinstall" the launcher is to delete its configs. If you just delete the launcher itself it doesn't get rid of any configs or saved packs. In any case there should be a (hidden) folder somewhere under your user folder called ftblauncher. I don't have FTB on this Windows laptop currently but Minecraft is in AppData\Roaming.

You have to put a shortcut of the ATLauncher on your desktop, surround it with redstone icons then wait until midnight and then sacrificially delete your internet explorer (or firefox, chrome or whatever) icon from your desktop.

You might also want to try the new Curse launcher, since all indications are that the FtB launcher will be going away when the Curse launcher is finalized, other than possibly "zip" versions for Linux users. Word has it that Curse is close to an Apple version of the launcher as well.

All of the new JadedCat and Eyamaz are located there and they have started loading other 3rd party packs as well as all the recommended FtB packs.

Thanks :), I didn't remember about the configs. Located them now.

You might have missed it in my post, I do have the curse launcher, but with my old saves it does not display the minimap in crash landing appropriately. So for now I stick to FTB for my old saves.
