Hi, trying to update Forestry to the latest version in MindCrack v8.0.1, but afraid I'm gonna break stuff. How do i do it? I clicked Edit Modpack and added the latest Forestry downloaded from Sengir's site, but the file is a different name than the Forestry that is in the pack already... Is it enough for me to rename the file I downloaded (forestry-A-2.0.0.7) to "Forestry" (what it's called in the modpack), then remove the old version from the pack and add the new one?

If not, anyone care to throw me a simple step-by-step? :p

Thanks in advance!

Recently it seems they changed the versions of mods included in the pack and gave them basic names. Not sure why they did that.

The name of the .zip file doesn't actually matter; what matters are its contents. This means removing the forestry.zip included in the pack and adding the one you downloaded should be all you need to do!

Thanks! What about config files, though? Will they be automatically updated when I launch, or should I delete the old ones?

They will update automatically. In fact they're rewritten every time you run Minecraft for every mod anyway. 99% of the time this is fine. In your case it'll be fine (firsthand experience talking). The other 1% is when they happen to add new blocks or items and create a new ID conflict.

Don't delete the config as the Forestry configs in FTB are heavily edited to avoid conflicts. Unless of course you're OK with fixing all the IDs manually. Nothing uses its default ID.
