An alveary allows you to control the climate as your bees perceive it. It's pretty far up the bee tech tree though, so unless you already have industrious and imperial bees, you won't be able to craft it. I find myself keeping apiaries in several different biomes with world anchors to keep them loaded when I'm working on getting their tolerance traits in order.
