One of the things that I really like about Horizons is the number of new mods that I'm not used to playing with that it contains. One such mod is Ender IO. I started a new world after the latest patch and decided to go with Ender IO as my start up power/production. I chose this mod for two reasons. One as I mentioned above I like the drawn of a mod I haven't used before. Second, I love the conduits, the fact that they can be hidden and combined in the same block etc.
That being said. I find that after the Stirling Generator, SAG Mill and Alloy Smelter some of the recipies can get expensive.
For example Ender IO's item conduits require Ender Peals whereas TE3's don't need anything that complicated to obtain (esp. opaque). Also, in order to get the solar panel I needed to go to the nether, so I built an igneous extruder. Add in the fact that TE3 machines can interact without conduits in a lot of situations.
All that being said, I have a few questions.
Has anyone else tried using Ender IO as a beginning infrastructure and if so what was your experience?
Can I use an Ender IO power source to power TE3 machines?
Will the Ender IO conduits work with TE and vice versa?
