That will happen with any game when you are using the same game, but changing accounts.
In SSP, the player data that's saved in the world save is not dependent on the actual player. Single player, by its very namesake, means one player so it's not saving a different player.dat file for each player logging in.
Right now, to the game, you're just logging in as normal, regardless of the account you're using.
