Highlands, ExtraBiomesXL, ATG, Biomes o' Plenty or Vanilla? (Poll Included)

Vanilla. No contest.

It seems to me that Highlands used to not add biomes but, rather, made everything more mountainous. I would love that. Of course that could just be related to my failing memory.

BoP and EBXL you can turn off all biomes except ones you like, and they have vanilla like biomes that are enhanced. You should try ATG if you like hilly biomes. However it tends to be far too hilly with a lot of small islands. eg. hilly planes.. ?_?

Disable all ocean type biomes in the ATG configs using BoP and Highlands, EXCEPT for the Oceanic Abyss. Then set the sea level (can't remember the actual config name) in the ATG config to around 32.

I tried ATG (in vanilla) for the first time last night and that is now clearly, far and away, my favorite. It may be a bit of a hike to find cactus but I'm finding some drier stuff now so I must be close...
