I know how to make a 2x2 blockswapper staircase to go down, but i wish to make a 4 block width staircase that would be concealed in the savanah biome. is it possible to do that, while keeping the smooth terrain?

Look up some of the vanilla redstone people, and then convert that into a compact version using ftb mods.
