there is terrible issue in hermit pack 1.4.x

at least it happens on single player

made dim tab , very first one
went to new dimension , nothing special was there.

did

EXIT TO DOS

started the game again inside new dimension

got all kind of sickness u could get

checked dimlet its power was 0 RF / what ever max

rf power on dimplets is not saved upon exit the game

power consume on dim is 35 rf per tick so it could not run out of power , because it was maxed out before i went to the new dimension

that much to the awesomeness of new dimensions...

Exit to DOS?

You have to continuously provide RF to keep the dimension safe to use... There's a new block, I think it's called a "Power Monitor" for dimensions, that shuts everything down to keep the dimension from drawing excess power when a player isn't there.

EXIT TO DOS

I'm not even sure how you did that at this point. Made me laugh.

How much time did you spend in your new dimension before you EXIT TO DOS? How fast were the debuffs applied when you restarted? A likely cause would be that your power supply was unloaded when you changed dimensions (all dimensions are unloaded from memory when a server shuts down, and yes, single player runs a server for itself). When this occurs, the only power the dimension has to draw from is in the buffer, which even at minimal levels, goes pretty fast if you're exploring.

I learned my lesson the hard way playing with Mystcraft, and i don't travel off world without a way home these days. RFTools has a portable teleporter which can really help in a jam (or when you simply don't feel like walking home).
