Ok so what I need help with is redesigning my base, ATM it's just a mess of pipes and power lines, so I need your guys help with redesigning, the farms I have will need a major overhaul, and power production and storage is naff, so that needs a redo, I haven't actually built a ore processing setup so one would come in handy, it would be better if I had it TE based, storage of items is in a Ae setup, but it needs more storage space, the major big place that needs sorting is liquid storage, I plan to stick all the liquids in full size steel railcraft tanks!!! For those who help me out in this post, I will give you all a shoutout in my base tour when it gets recorded!

Im sorry, but can you state what you need in a more clear fashion? I dont understand what advice you are asking for.. By your post it looks like you want us to teach you monster which is kind of... Hard. So can you please point out the basic things that you want done and (if there is some) the discarded options that you are not going to consider because of X reason?

Is EnderIO in Monster? (I can never remember this stuff...) If so, grab the conduits there. Item, power, liquid, and redstone transfer all in a single block. Oh, and newer versions also have ME Conduits. Enjoy.

Indeed it is, but he is already using Applied Energistics, so maybe is a better option to just use P2P for liquids and use the existing cable.. But that leaves him with another line dedicated for power.. Mmm, decisions.. decisions.. Also, Instead of railcraft tanks, Extra cells gives a neat way of storing liquids, it uses a ton of power though.. But nothing that a steam boiler (even iron) cannot achieve..

Op, do you use or are willing to use Magic stuff? If so, powering a boiler with alumentum is a great power generation and can be automated.

If you haven't done so already, one big way to save space in AE systems is to put anything you constantly produce (via quarries, farms, byproducts, etc.) in Deep Storage Units along with Storage Buses.

Or barrels :D Lets not forget the barrels u.u (I just want the jabba barrels to work as an unifier not only with user input but also with storage buses.. then ill be happy for a month)

I know about barrels, but because of the deletion of Extradimensional Barrels (FZ is seemingly bent on killing itself), they're good for pre-AE/LP and not much else. Yes I know JABBA barrels have upgrades, but I'd rather spend 4 Enderium and get 4 nigh-infinite barrels than craft a few hundred pistons.

I'm not much of a fan of thaumcraft since the update, but I'm sure I can get back into it!!!!! I saw direwolf power his boiler with alumentum!

I like the thought of the extra cells, but I like the railcraft tanks more, just because they look mighty impressive with the theme of my base! I'm not going to skip out an idea I'm given, I will most probally have some cells for any extra liquid I have in excess!

Lol, all the geostrata cobble that I get from my basic full size quarry goes into a unifier and then into my system, I'm going for a million cobble without ingneous extruders. But just by reading the thread I know that some people like barrels and some people like DSU's so here is an idea all bull items and some items that I own alot of *cough* magic crops essences *cough* coal and redstone *cough*, will all go into a DSU as they can store a TON of items, and then a itemduct leading into a barrel so I have the feature of getting items on demand, and plus there is a backlog before the barrels so I won't worry about running out of resources anytime soon, plus I will have storage buses on the DSU's so when I'm in my me system I won't need to worry to grab a component when crafting! Problem solved!!
