Hi guys. First time posting here so i hope im in the right place.

So recently i set up my very first Me network. First thing which i noticed was that my Me Controller looks very different than any picture i've seen in the internet, but i didn't worry about it too much because everything seems work.

Now i decided that i would make a wireless Access point to my terminal so i can reach it from a distance. The only problem is that i cannot link my Wireless Terminal to my system because i cant "open" my Me controller (i dont get any interfaces when i hit the controllre with mouse button 2 or anything).

Picture here from my Contoller : http://i.imgur.com/p4pTUuJ.jpg

So i don't really know what do about this. This is the only Applied Energetics Controller which i can build.

Thanks in advance.

Edit : Forgot to mention that im using the FTB Infinity mod pack.

I believe you need to "prime" the wireless terminal in a ME security station in AE2.

Applied Energistics 2 is much different than 1, to link your wireless access terminal you must create a security terminal and do it in there, the security isn't required you just need the terminal for some reason. GUI should be self explanatory

Are all of those devices connected together by a cable grid in the background? If so you might be "shorting out" the sides and should apply cable anchors judiciously to ensure that the controller sides are isolated from each other to avoid "data loops".

You should look up some guides for it and make sure you search for AE2. It has changed significantly from previous versions in the way you have to build the network etc.

Considering everything in the picture seems to be on and functioning, I don't think it's an issue with channels. I would go with the 1st suggestion here and guess you didn't link the wireless terminal. The old way of putting it into the the ME terminal has changed and you need the security station.

I could be wrong but i dont think it matters how cables are ran with AE, its connected or its not unlike transfer pipes where it searches at each connection and causes loops. Like i said i could be wrong and if you have some proof enlighten me as im always willing to learn new things :)

AE1: Doesn't matter one bit. Connections are just connections. It is not like anything is piped through the cables or anything. Cables just connect devices to make them light up and supply power.

AE2: Matters a lot! All devices uses channels and cables/controllers/whatever only have so many channels. You really want to be methodical in the way you build your network and avoid loops etc.

I dont know how many channels a wireless access point uses, but the way your system is set up you are going to run out soon. The controller can output 8 channels per side with fluix cables, so you want to make sure not to connect cables attached to the other sides. And you can branch off of dense cables for 32 channels, thats 4 branches of regular fluix cables.

I do understand the whole channel thing but i thought the channels were counted per item per connection such as 3 machines and 3 import buses would be 6 channels as long as the cable is touching each item once. Just because you have your cable routed as : {}{}{} as long as the machines/buses are connected just once it only counts are 6 channels right?

EDIT: Just looked at the picture again and understand what your saying. He has 3 faces of the controller connecting all the same machines tripling the channel usage
