Help with an occult theme?

I'm currently in the process of making a room to house my T5 Blood Alter, its being stored underground near my base and I was looking for suggestions for an occult look for the room? (currently is it a 23x23 room and 8 blocks high)

Really looking for block use suggestions if anyone has them, even some odd ball items that I may miss (61 pages of items in NEI, really easy to miss some). I'm currently using the DW20 1.6.4 pack with the addition of Blood Magic, Nether Ores, and Grav Suite. I also updated Ars Magica 2 to the most recent one, with the sigil stones and updating Compendium (really cool idea on his part).

Pungi sticks and iron spikes however dangerous may fit in with your theme well and if you have chisel have a look through those you may find some interesting ones with netherrack or netherbrick.
