I'm having issues supplying power to a BatBox. I've tried doing [Peat-Fired Engine]->(conductive cobblestone pipe)->[BatBox] and I've tried [Peat-Fired Engine]->(copper wire)->[BatBox]. Both of them don't seem too work. Please help.

Engines produce MJ, batboxes store EU.

If you're at this stage in the game, you won't have a way to store MJ, you can only consume it as you produce it or use whatever -little- storage the machine you are using has.

Think of it as a car engine. It's only useful when its on, if you have it on all the time and you're not using it, it's a waste.

Think of MJ as an engine and EU as electricity. You can burn gas in a gas-powered plant to generate steam to power turbines to generate electricity.

So you need to find a way to use the MJ and turn it into EU.

One way is to generate lava and feed it into thermal generators. That method is MJ into magma crucibles, then lava into thermal generators.

The most direct, inefficient but convenient method are electrical engines... Oh wait, that's in reverse.

Hmmm.

Depending on the modpack, you can create a "machine" called Energy bridge. That can be used in conjunction with BC (Buildcraft, meaning MJ) consumer and IC2 (IndustrialCraft2, meaning EU) producer. After you place them both adjacent to the Energy bridge, you can input MJ into the BC consumer and it outputs EU from the IC2 producer.

Please note that there are 4 "tiers" of IC2 consumers/producers (LV < MV < HV < EV), and BatBox can only handle 32 eu/p, which means LV.

figured it out. [Peat-Fired Engine]->(conductive pipes)->[MJ Producer]->[energy bridge]->[EU Consumer]->(Copper Wire)->[BatBox]
