Hello, i am trying to add some more mods to Monster but i get a problem with most of them. For example i am trying to add soul shards but after i add it to the mods folder it says that it has a duplicate. Ive tried to find how to fix this but i can't find the duplicated file, even when i took in the logs and it says the locations of them but there is no duplicate. If anyone could please help that would be nice. thanks

Try using the search function built into your operating system. Or download multimc5 and copy all files from monster folder into a new instance, edit the instance. Makes find duplicates and adding mods slightly easier once you understand the way its setup.

Are you getting duplicate file errors from the OS when copying into the folder or are you getting duplicate ID errors when you try to launce the game?

Monster is based on version 1.6 of Minecraft which still requires that Block/Item IDs be uniquely defined, and if the IDs in the packs you are trying to add are already in use you will have to find new ones to assign.

After packs based on MC 1.7 become prevalent this won't be as much as an issue going forward.

There is no id conflicts and when i put the mod in the folder there is no duplicate warning, thats what i don't get. The 2 pictures attached are what it says when i try to start the game and what it says in the log. I looked in the places it says the duplicates are but there isn't anything in the minecraft folder only the mods folder. Think it might just be a bug or something because there is no duplicate, i can find at least. Also I'm on a Mac so it might be a Mac glitch.

Look inside the mod folder, there's probably two copies of the mod inside that folder
