Bit of a thread bump, but google put me here so for those that follow: What got you is a Hellish temperature requirement without either Nocturnal or Cave traits, which means it's basically impossible to satisfy (the Nether is always classified as Night). The way I'm currently avoiding it is by keeping a strain of temperature tolerant Infernal bees and only using them to cross, making sure to breed for Nocturnal and Cave with every step just incase.

I'm also not using Pristines so if I *do* lose a princess to impossible requirements at least it's only an Ignoble. I don't have the ExtraBees mod or whatever adds Innoculator/Acclimitiser plus the other Alveary blocks (it all feels a bit too cheaty to me) but these Infernal crosses are tempting me to do it.
It's not "Impossible" to get a nether breed to be bred on the surface, but you can't do it even with ExtraBees. No, you need GenDustry! I prefer it over ExtraBees, except, y'know, ExtraBees has *gasp!* Extra kinds of Bees?!

I don't get the difficulty - modest bees are nether-compatible from the word go.

I'm actually unfortunate enough to not yet have found a Modest princess (this seed seems strangely lacking in Desert biomes)... regardless, though, the issue is that the bees you need to cross Infernals with (such as Imperial or Industrious) don't naturally have the tolerances.

My current mission is to breed or find another overworld bee that has tolerances (like the Modest) so that I can get them bred into my Industrious/Imperial/etc strains and avoid issues that way.
