If you have electric engine, you have forestry, and if you have forestry, you have cheap MJ. I think electric engine is useful only if you need to power something at remote location, and don't have thermal expansion's betteries, so have to use lapotrons.

Electric engines are great, but they suck up a lot of the energy produced by a Geothermal Generator. Now that I installed the Magmatic Engine, it's actually saving lava...although it's still removing cobble from the transport pipes and using it somehow. How can I actually stop that? The engine would sometimes pull out more cobble then it could carry and drop the rest as floating entities.

Magmatic engine > wooden conductive pipe > gold conductive pipe > quarry

Basically move your engines away from the quarry box and transport pipes.

Not waterproof pipe? How does the energy from the engine gat to the quarry?

Via the conductive pipes, of course.

Transport pipes are for items. Waterproof pipes are for liquids. Conductive pipes are for energy.

No, wires are for transferring EU, engines produce MJ which need either conductive pipes or conduits.

Would any of the lava go into the conductive pipe?
Negative.

Rule of thumb: Items go into transport pipes, Liquids (not in containers, those are items themselves) go into waterproof pipes, power goes into conductive pipes. No bleedthrough possible. =)

Ok I wasn't going to post this as it's my first ever video and to me needs a lot of work on it (no front, bad quality, poor narrating) but since you need to see it to understand have a look

Forget the Mystcraft world bit, forward to the part where I hook up the engines to the quarry (aroudn the 10 min mark)

Will watch it after I got back from work. But I was interested in getting crystals. Do they spawn in the overworld and if not, How do I get to the Myst World?
