Honestly killing Pechs is cheaper than trading with them. Which is sad
A global consequence for killing villagers/pechs would be an awesome addon to minecraft/thaumcraft.They do have a FX when you attack them. Sort of like villagers. So I would not be shocked if at a later update we see a sort of Gobal Pech Realationship system of some sort. killing to many turning the rest of them hostle to you on site maybe.
At least I hope so while I hate the buggers takeing stuff not nailed down I think the murder (and im sure somene is going to stuff one in mfr spawner soon too) is a bit much.

Perhaps a quest system as well to get on their good side.
that actually sounds pretty nice... now if Azanor would also add an actual base for pechs in the Magical Forests where they live and such, something like a pech village or a house that's similar to the Hobbit Hole from Lord of the Rings.... that'd be friggin awesome. maybe you can even have it so if the relationship with pechs has become on a good side, they no longer pick up/steal items in a certain range around you.
Side effect of not picking up items around you is that they don't trade anymore either... (As I understand it from what I've seen on the forums)
But I am in support of questing to get back favor, because if it mimics the villager system, the only way to gain favor back is to trade, and it's hard to trade when things are killing you
