Honestly it's more along the lines of she does the productive stuff and I fuck around exploring the nether, dying, afking at Way's explorer bees, starting projects and not finishing them, putting things in the wrong chests, getting in Linda's way, etc etc.

Them bees. Those new Ars bee frames are "hella op" to give Way those bees so early. He did it without any infrastructure at all.

Bees have always been something that interest me but I've just never gotten into it. I really must try

I'm glad forestry introduces the all work no play thing.
Makes bees not a race for genetic machines, then alveary, and then everything is done in the next hour.

Also, endenic aren't THAT hard to get, my partner on the server made a target to get them as his first EoL bees, and achieved it within 4 days of actually starting.

And then my alternate partner after the server reset and we moved to ultimate decided that he wouldn't use soul frames, as a personal challenge (and because we had no seed oil) and also had Eden IC within a week.

It does depend on getting lucky with those nether mutations however.

If you have GregTech installed, bees are the best way to get iridium.
Valuables are hard to breed, mostly due to the bloody resolute bee, which due to being a mix of tarnishes and corroded, TE method for brig if them, and rusty and bauxite, it means that breeding resolute (bronze) bees are an absolute PITA
Once you have it, breeding it with noble for glittering is simply hoping that a 2% chance is lucky, of course suing mutators.
Then breeding with ender for valuable makes one of the most powerful bees in the pack.

We should make a Resonant Rise bee-breeding station for everyone. Each person would get a specific space to do it, and be asked to put in any serums they get that aren't already obtained.

Sorry but that's nonsene. I have a fully equipped base and getting all the mutations is still a lot of work. You do often have to reinoculate bees, replenish serums, etc. It takes hours of work to get all the goodies. On our server we have the oil, metal and gem bees and that was a rather hefty time investment even with the extrabee machines. The machines are there because without them hardly anyone would bother.

And don't forget that before you can even make the machines you need to breed industrial and imperial bees AND hunt down a bunch of ghasts for the tears. This all costs plenty of time.[DOUBLEPOST=1368790488][/DOUBLEPOST]

That's more or less what we do. We have 2 main breeding stations, one in the communal base and one in my base, and we swap serums that we developed and coordinate to work on separate strains. Even though I'm quite experienced in bees (we recently restarted) and we have a super mutator alveary is has taken me well over 6 hours to produce all the bee species we have now, and we haven't even touched the thaumic ones.
