I'm messing around with gregtech (hard mode)for the first time and I have a lot of lignite coal. I cannot seem to find what it is used for. Does anyone have a link or direct knowledge that could help me out with this.

I also cannot seem to smelt sticky resin into rubber in a furnace and its holding me back from IC2 creations. Does anyone know what happening here?

AFAIK it is just crappy coal.

You need to extract it to dust then smelt to bars I think.

You can use it as furnace fuel and it will also work in the coal boilers.

Use the steam extractor. Gregtech disables the smelting recipe.

For the lignite coal you first need to smelt it with normal coal. It is crappy coal so it will not be as good however you get a return from smelting it so I would do it.

As said earlier you need a extractor (bronze age) to get the resin into rubber.
