I wouldn't get close to it if I was you, getting accidentally infected is easier then you would think, the same is sadly true about spreading it.
As for helping with fighting it, all help is welcome but research is better not done on the infection it self for the same reason you shouldn't get close to it.
There is a village not that far away from here, the people there are aware of the infection and are prepared. Everyone there has a vial with the cure for the infection, however it only works withing the first minute of getting infected and even then the chances of survival are small it does however stop the other possible outcomes.

58? Oh, this is just part of how I do my research. This lens lets me see the the base... components- aspects, I call them- that make up all matter. This gives me some insight into what what I'm looking at really is, how it works, and hopefully, in the case of this corruption, how to fight it. However, just scanning things all day isn't enough to teach me how to clean up this mess- that requires a great deal of theoretical research, which I do indoors. I'm not sure if this fox alone will will give me what information I need to reverse the infection, but if it doesn't, I'll be sure to take every precaution I can before going into the infected area. Including some of that serum you mentioned.
