61 Only other thing I could think of is connection failure causing a timeout, but that would almost certainly throw an error of some sort.
60 not to mention the fact that the server it connects to is on my own network and thus on the same one as my phone. So, if there is a time out, something is defiantly wrong.

My guess is that my phone is just being stupid, as loading websites is also not exactly fast

60. Hopefully he's OK. Its also half term this week so he wouldn't be at school anyway, which is both good (we already have childcare covered for the week) and bad (because being sick when you're on holiday is never fun!). He seemed bright-eyed and bushy-tailed this morning though, so fingers crossed he's on the mend.

60. Yes, that's a little less fun.

In unrelated news I'mma go turn the air con in my lab up because I feel really chilly...

That won't be actively increasing the temperature, mind - that just means it will stop trying to fight to get it to 21°C when it doesn't want to drop below 22. The warm air from the instruments will do the rest (I've changed the threshold from keeping it between 18 and 21, to between 18 and 24).

60. Oof. -18?! Really??? Holy moly.

Both my bits of kit kick out a lot of warm air, and the lab is well insulated. I do wonder how warm it would get overnight with the door closed if I switched the AC off...

61 Yeah. been hovering around 0F here for a couple weeks, and that's about -18C. It really isn't fun.
