52. Trying to curb catastrophising and internal anger at the moment. And I won't get a resolution on my worries one way or another until this evening. Today is going to be a fun day...

51 sorry to hear that, having your fate in the hands of others is no good and definitely a -1

50, I mean, having my life be my responsibility is something I like. There's no use in complaining about what other people are doing, as you have no ability to change it, the only thing you have any control over is yourself, so therefor it's all you should worry about. There are obviously exceptions, but when in doubt, blame yourself, it's often the only way to get the change you want, because you control your own behavior.

Cheers dude, I appreciate it. Its not so much my life in this case, but that of my son :( issues at school; I'm hoping they'll be resolved in a positive way, and I'm trying not to go straight to the worst-case-scenario.

48 Ah I get it, I have school age children myself. One was going through something recently at school that makes you feel powerless and frustrated. I hope it all works out for you my friend.

It did, in the end - I appreciate the good wishes too, thank you chap. The school handled it really well actually, which was great. Not going to lie, it was quite a relief.

49 the second project has started. We need to program a game consisting of minigames that are somehow connected.

Looking at what we learned at DEV so far, I don't suspect much from the games.

In other news, the electives(?I don't think this is the correct word, as you need to do 3 of them each year.) also started. For the class I chose, the first exercise is to write a program that converts an image stored as RGB to YUV and back and also applies a gray scale filter on it. (The last one is easy as part of creating the YUV is to make a gray scale filter (That is the Y))

The first example on how to work with images with programming languages was done in C++. Luckily though, its C# for us from this point on. (Actually, its whatever language you decide to use but he already made some stuff to help you in C#)

48 I've got to pick a new research question by tonight, and make sure there's enough info for it.
