@Someone Else 37 circles don't matter for buildcraft at all anymore. Probably because it now uses rf. Remember that build journal I made a good time back? The power grid I used where essentially 2 giant circles that where also connected at some places and it gave no problems at all.

All I know is, last time I used BC kinesis pipes in a testworld (which was well after the RF update), I was using them to power some lasers, so I had a bunch of very small loops (because each laser had to be connected to a pipe and the lasers were all adjacent to each other), and when I turned the engines on, the pipe loops attached to the lasers all filled up really quick, and then drained again once I turned the lasers off.

and I know that it probably is not a problem anymore. Also, I remember a video from direwolf on the forgecraft server right after explosions got removed where someone showed you can now make loops without explosions and mentioned it is a "good" way to store power thus I don't think making loops even with that behavior is much of a problem.

if there is no powerloss then every pipe in the loop stores it maximum amount of mj/t

There is no energy loss, I know, but that doesn't mean that the maximum power actually gets through and doesn't get stuck going around the loop.

Pet peeve: When people say "power" when they actually mean "energy". Power is energy PER UNIT TIME.
