Spoiler: mass storage chest

The Mass storage chest has 64 slots (green) with a maximum stack size
of 4096 each, this even counts for items which have a usual maximum stack
size below 64. Items put into the red slot are automatically sorted into the
chest. It’s recommended to only use this slot for input because otherwise the
stacking doesn’t work correctly. Left-click on a slot takes 64 items, right-click
1 item, shift-left-click puts 64 items into your inventory and shift-right-click
will fill it with that item as much as possible. When broken the contents are
stored in the dropped item.

Considering redstone takes up more then 1 slot by now, I think it is getting a little bit out of hand. And yes, pretty much all the redstone is mined by a single mining turtle. The poor thing hasn't seen daylight in ages
