48 Dwarf Fortress has very specific wounds as well, although it doesn't keep track of what caused the wounds. Case in point:
Screen Shot 2016-05-06 at 8.49.23 PM.png

I cut off this lion's front legs to slow it down, then knocked it unconscious by shattering one of its ribs ("Lion 48 gives in to pain!"), which allowed me to cleanly stab out one of its eyes and slice off an ear, both of its eye teeth, and all of its remaining odd-numbered toes (this lion only seemed to have four toes on each paw, for some reason), without causing further damage to any of the surrounding tissues (including its mouth and other teeth).

A bit cruel and unusual? Yeah... but it does a much better job of showing off the combat system than throwing a bunch of lions and tigers at each other and saying "Oh, look, that one lost a toe".

Worth mentioning that I did this in arena mode. I spawned in a human with grand master sword, mace, fighting, and dodging skills and armed with an adamantine sword and a platinum mace. And also a lion. And then another lion, because the first bled out before I got around to screenshotting it.

56 in other news, the first poison shit landed and got dealt with, no casualties of any kind. Someone even managed to make a snowman in the desert because of it.

edit: correction, there are 2 snowmans in the desert
