Far back in the mists of ancient time, in the great and glorious days of the
former Galactic Empire, life was wild, rich and largely tax free.

Mighty starships plied their way between exotic suns, seeking adventure and
reward among the furthest reaches of Galactic space. In those days, spirits
were brave, the stakes were high, men were real men, women were real women
and small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri were real small furry creatures
from Alpha Centauri. And all dared to brave unknown terrors, to do mighty
deeds, to boldly split infinitives that no man had split before -- and thus
was the Empire forged.

73 Notes are good. Especially when you can look through them easily... which my current one-txt-file-per-class-per-day strategy isn't very good at. Maybe I'll label them by topic rather than date next time.

75 That actually works much better, I've found. I just don't have a lot of notebooks at the moment, and I thought using my computer to take notes in all these computer science classes I'm taking would just make sense.

77 Only problem is it's really hard to sort through them if I'm looking for a specific thing. Each day I create a new file whose name is that day's date, such as jan5 of feb17. It'd be much more effective if I gave them names like 05MoarPointers, neatly wrapping up a sequential (and sortable!) ID and a topic right in the filename.

Next semester. I expect to be taking lots more computers classes in the future.
