77 Barry's Land was a land card conceived of a long time ago that was basically just a colorless basic land. I think the original intent was to turn Domain up to six (which would require the land to have its own subtype), but more recently Commander players have latched onto the idea so they can use their colorless commanders (Karn, Kozilek, etc.) without having to track down 40-odd different nonbasic lands.

Wastes doesn't appear to have any subtype at all. Commander players rejoice; Domain fans... not so much.

Oh, and why was it called Barry's Land? The guy who came up with (or just popularized?) it was named Barry. He was some former designer type; I don't remember his exact significance.
 
I channeled out the bank of the brook near my fort, allowing the water so spill into the tunnel I'd dug specifically for that purpose. It flowed under the water wheel I'd built, powering the half-assed Dwarven Water Reactor I built down there and pumping the water fresh from the water wheel into my cistern. Not very fast, but it certainly worked. And I was happy.

85 I now find myself wondering how much magma is stored in your "Barrel of Fun", and how you could possibly type on it without burning your fingers off. Maybe the barrel is made of nethercap?
 
Interesting you say that because my screen is slightly tinted orange to reduce eye strain and make it easier to sleep since I use it late at night.
