I found a HUGE tree that I was unfamiliar with and cut it down. Found it to be a rubber tree and it only gave me 2 saplings. I planted them, but they haven't grown yet. What have I done wrong? Should I use more then 1 sapling?

plant 1 sapling, wait long time. (Best to afk next to them overnight) Also it needs a LOT of free space.
This is the Redpower 2 Rubber Tree. The Wood can be extracted for rubber. Listen to Lambert for how to grow it, I don't want to be redundant and say exactly what Lambert said.

I have a question for you, how on earth did you only get 2 saplings!? Whenever I cut down one of those RP Rubber Trees I get an inventory full of wood and an inventory full of saplings!
I never thought of using those gigantic trees as a source of rubber. Smart 
Wow. Me neither, actually. I just looked them up, and I didn't realize those were rubber trees.
I think I'll stick with the normal sized trees for rubber for now... but maybe at some point I'll set up an MFR farm for these things, if I need a ridiculous amount of rubber.

For what do you need so much rubber? I've got 50 stacks of propolis and rising, which can be forestry-centrifugated to sticky resin.
My line of thinking was: Maybe he has a good idea, so I can finally put all that stuff to a good use.Not everyone has got / wants to use bees.
