I have been cautious enough early on [and still am practicing caution] to avoid letting my engines run [past green especially--] when I'm not able to baby sit them. However, I did a 'stress' test decided to leave them alone for a while. I had my base wired with my power sources (Industrial Steam-Engines hooked up and running at max) and the wires extended out a bit far [maybe about 30+ from power source to the nearest MJ using machine].
Now, It has been three days, using the power within my base here and there. My Redstone Energy cells have mostly been topped off at 100% [600000 mj] and I have not overheated or had any critical failures, am I just lucky in never having needed to turn my engines off? I do use these things for major projects [quarry's, Refinery's, major landscape changes, ect Just was a odd week and didn't need anything major done]. Or are these engines able to run as long as they are connected to 'any' output source [Like a Redstone engine] regardless of power being used or not? [in this case Redstone Energy Conduits]
