Gather Golem likes to hold items? (Inifnity 2.3.5)

I am having a issue with a straw golem. It has a gather core, and a entropy upgrade installed. It is assigned to pick up mana beans and place them in the nearby storage. It picks up the beans fine. Yet holds on to them and refuses to put them in the storage. I originally had it assigned to a cabinet. When that didn't work I tried a chest. That isn't working either.

Any ideas on what could be going wrong? I have tried removing the endo flame. I have placed a man bean in the chest then without one. I have picked up the golem and set it back down.

When placing the golem, you have to right click them onto the container. You shouldnt need to mark locations with the bell for a gatherer.

Thanks. I haven't used thaumcraft in awhile, and I never did much with it. Trying to do a full magic path play through of infinity and am enjoying it. I can't even use a lot of my favorite items. Even had to put up the tinkers tools. Kept the smeltery for doubling ores. So I guess I'm not completely following the rules. So do miss long fall boots.

Going to try automating the blood altar with golems now. I get so tired of watching over that thing.

Don't get too attached to using them there - they're hurt by the Well of Suffering ritual, so if you want to start using that you'll need to find some other method to transfer items.

Instead of using longfall boots, try the slowfall enchantment on boots of your choice. To get it, you have to use Thaumic Tinkerer's weird enchantment setup but its very worth it. It makes you glide down slowly unless you hold the sneak key. Im sure there are other magical options for negating fall damage too.

I am thinking about not fully automating for the harvesting of monster blood. I was just thinking of using the characters. Will make some things tougher. Might be interesting though. It is working alright. They work faster then I can fill the alter. I am hoping to be able to change that eventually.
