Details of the issue:

When I try to launch the game the launcher closes and then reappears after a few seconds, not allowing me to play the game. I have tried vanilla minecraft and that works just fine.
Please help I have been wanting to play the mod pack for some time now.

That looks like a GPU/Display issue. Have you recently updated your drivers? If not, try updating them and see if that helps. If you did, then try downgrading them and see if that helps.

java version restart launcher, open options tab, click advanced options and make launcher to use java 8u51. Click exit and restart launcher. Try starting pack again and post a new log if
mc still fails to launch
