Any drawbacks to that sword? From what I gathered, most of the unstable ingots tools all have stuffs like not yielding broken blocks. And can it be enchanted? E+ works too?

Not as far as I can tell. There aren't any proper drawbacks to many of them. The "not dropping blocks" thing is supposed to basically stop you having to go back to base because of an excess of cobble, rather than of useful stuff. It's not intended as a downside.

Not sure about enchanting, why not try it?

From what I've heard, the sword is less effective than a diamond sword against unarmored enemies. Haven't tested it for any hard and fast numbers, though.

Drawback on the pick is that it only works on Smooth Stone and is more worthless than bare hands on anything else including Cobblestone. The not yielding broken blocks is more of an upside if you're sick of disposing of cobble.

I wonder... Can you cancel out the light from the Enchanting Table by using Gaseous Tenebrae (Thaumic Tinkerer) instead of changing the configs?

It's from Equivalent Exchange. I have no idea what its actual purpose is supposed to be, but it makes a neat looking item display case. :)
The glass bell is the top half of the Aludel. The Aludel turns Dusts (Such as Minium dust) and coal, or something else into Alchemical Coal, Mobius Fuel, and Aeternais Fuel. It's fueled by a furnace fuel. The dusts are obtained by putting materials such as diamonds, or emeralds, or anything that has an EMC value higher than 64 into the calcinator. Note that the features listed before are only for when the next EE3 update comes out, and these features are available on Github Only.

and you needed to necro this post to give us information which does not apply to the version of minecraft that was in use because? Not that it isn't interesting that that buggy item finally got a use but still..

Slowpoke was showing off on FC1 the other day about how he uses a Pocket Crafting Table to make it easier to use the ingots. I don't have FZ in my pack so I can't try it.

I might be stating the obvious here but i play with enchanting plus and have activated the sigil, you still need to craft a normal enchanting table right to make eplus table, why not just craft a new vanilla table and use that for the ritual it worked for me!!

I think the obvious that you're missing is that the thread is 4 months old. I think it was an issue that has since been fixed. This is why necro-posting is frowned upon.

I disagree. If I was interested in "fun with unstable ingots" four months ago, then I am probably still interested in it now, and if someone posts about it I want them to do it in this thread so I get a notification. Perhaps there should be a user option to unsubscribe from a thread once it reaches a certain age, then those who don't like necros can happily ignore them, while those who have no problem with it can be kept entertained with topics that they have an interest in. I apologise for further derailing this thread with off-topic talk about necros, I will not do so further.

I'd agree with that, if the thread was necro-ed for any purpose relating to the original thread, but, instead it's giving info about a tangential topic, and confusing people because modded MC changes at such a rate that any thread containing 4 month old info is, pretty much, obsolete.

If you happen to miss the dates involved, or don't recognise the thread from the first time around, you could see people talking about things that make no sense. Personally, I prefer to refresh the threads often. The things that need saying often get said repeatedly, so little is lost, and the threads are less intimidating and confusing.

I'm definitely going to make sure this mod is in my server's modpack just so I can use the pre-countdown ingots as looter bait. I can just imagine someone control shift clicking everything from a chest into their inventory only to realize that it's going to explode in their face, killing them.

Edit: nevermind. I just realized that won't work after I read the posts just above mine. As for the reason this thread got bumped, there is a reference to it on the FTB wiki and some random user such as myself (or, as in the case of the person who actually bumped it, lewis) encountered it. I at least had the decency to check to make sure the thread had recent activity. Less than a week ago works for me.

Edit: that's not to say that I won't use the mod in my pack, and I may try to get around the crafting fix with NBT editing, seeing as the context is "on my server".

How exactly did you manage to put an Unstable Ingot inside a Glass Bell?

I'm guessing it was piped in from a Logistics Crafting Table.
Ok, I didn't know you could pipe items into Glass Bells. (Then again, what made me think you couldn't...?)
Btw, I believe it's impossible to craft a pre-timer unstable ingot anymore. Please tell me I'm wrong, I really want to throw one on a TC pedestal inside someone's house. :D

I'd love to play, but the Gods of "Which Random Treasure Goes In Which Chest" have been blessing me with melon seeds instead of a Division Sigil. sigh

So until some random number generator somewhere in God's Universe decides it's time to let me play with Unstable Ingots... you guys have fun. I'll just keep daydreaming about what I could do with em.
