Hey guys,
I read this forum a lot but don't post much. I just started a new world on ftblite2. Wanted to try a smaller mod pack (yes, my PC is low end). Love the pack so far. Here is my question.

What would you suggest for power gen for my base?

I have a stock mod pack plus a few extras added- build craft, enderstorage, quarry plus, mystcraft, and 1 or 2 more (can't remember what).
I was thinking about maybe a mfr tree farm without fertilizer with oak saplings. I'm trying to avoid the standard nether pump setup but might still do that. If you are wondering this is a SSP world. So tell me what you think I could try with such a limited pack. And yes RF will be the mainstay power system since it can run all BC machines.

Edit: Mods if this is the wrong place please let me know and feel free to move this post.

Ya TE is in by default. Will have too look up liquifacted coal. Wonder if it can be made with charcoal. Guess it is some thing to look into.

it's one of the best fuel sources in TE it lasts a long time and produces 4 million RF IIRC

I think looking at it briefly (the whole pack) you only have 2 mods with power sources (TE and MFR) luckily they are both RF compatible, so you can start with TE3s engines and end up on MFR's bioreactors maybe.

Liquifacted coal is looking good so far. Since I installed mystcraft (mining ages) getting coal should not be a problem. I just hope I don't end up spending more power than I'm using on my BC quarry. Guess I'll see. Might add railcraft to the pack not sure yet. My only issue with the bioreactor is the infrastructure needed for diversity to make them efficient. Something to plan for and work toward.
