Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems.
If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers
- If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.
The FTB Forum is now read-only, and is here as an archive.

hi,
i try to install FTB but i have a problem. i cant launch any mod, when i launch one mod i have an unzipping error.
i tried remove ftb of all folder Local dir, roaming dir etc... 4 times
i tried to change my hard drive for FTB dir
i tried to update java 8 and install java 7 before i have remove all java installation
i tried reboot my computer
i tried downgrade allowed memory to 4go
i tried forced update
i have run FTB in administrator
now i have no idea, if someone can help me that will be wonderful
try something, delete in %appdata%/roaming and /Local both ftblauncher folders, then try again. if you cannot delete a folder try booting your PC in safe mode, and please make a backup i wouldn't you to lose your saves. this solution is like and uninstall/reinstall of FTB, it worked for me although i had a different problem, but i think it's worth a shot
I'm getting the same error. Or something like it, as far as I can tell. Only one or two specific packs will launch, the rest I click launch and after half a second the launcher disappears, then reappears, without loading the pack.
Also 1.4.11, my firewalls are off, I have Avast Antivirus but it's in "Silent/Gaming Mode". The only two that I've tried to launch that actually WORK are Modular Mayhem (Installed somewhat recently), and Simply Magic (started VERY recently), both of which are under the third party tab.
Ones that I know don't work: FtB Unstable 1.8, Bee Happy, the Ferret Business, Banished, Agrarian Skies, and... hmm, that's all I've actually tried, sorry. It's been several months since I've been able to launch most of these. Using Windows 7.

There are additional Java parameters set, but that's only so Modular Mayhem will run, and I was getting this sort of error long before starting that pack or setting those parameters.
