Heh, it happens to all of us. Of course, now I'm wondering just how compact you could make the "fill up the ocean" amount of stuff (10^18 cubic meters).
I thought of another difference. In the Minecraft world you basically reproduce by praying to "spirit folk" to take the form of a person in the game. The spirit folk being your real world friends who have never played. Only animals and villagers breed in the game.
In Minecraft, oak trees produce apples. In the real world, we call those apple trees.
In Minecraft, if I put a (crafting) table in the wrong place, the quickest way to fix the problem is to hack it pieces with an ax. In the real world I just move the table.
