Ok so my hubby just bought a new computer. Got the computers to seeing each other (able to share and access folders) and we have hamatchi and that is able to see each other, no errors or issue. All computer except his, are windows 7, his is windows 8 (dislike it honestly). Get server on my comp open. I can see and connect as well as all windows 7 computers, his computer can't. Tested multiplayer with opening to lan both ways and we all can all see and connect to that. I just opened same server on his computer and all can join. One problem: no saved way points, so all our saved way points are gone and since he cant connect to the server while on my computer I cant get his saved waypoints back. Yeah I'm banging my head against a wall here. So whats the issue? just not able to see backwards technology wise? Im so rdy to get windows 7 just installed on his computer. Fun note: as of last night he could see it and get in. Not sure what changed. same java, ftb & minecraft versions. Any suggestions out there? This issue occurs with any server not opened on his computer. SO needless to say he is just a LITTLE bit frustrated and rdy to just stop playing all together.

sorry if its confusing. I really dont know how to explain the problem. I tried to re-edit it to help with any confusion. I have tried everything to fix it.

This sounds a bit like a firewall/UAC issue.

What do you mean with "Got the networks all seeing each other"?

I can see and share files across all computers. I was able to take the server and put it in a folder on his computer from my computer. Sorry I worded it wrong. I ment computers. I also know hamatchi is ok because I pinged my computer on his hamtachi and it got a reply.
