When was the last time you used a redstone engine?

Last time I looked (which was in beta) it was just another mod in a mod pack with no hooks into hardly any other mod (like the old Ultimate).

I just tried it yesterday and I got the impression that at least the beginning is pretty much focused on GregTech.. but maybe I didn't scroll through NEI long enough to analyze all recipes.
Anyway, I started the bronze age and crafted my first-of-all-time GT machine, the Steam Boiler ! Can't wait for Friday when I'll have time to continue that :)

EDIT: Also, I read somewhere on these forums that Resurrection will be more GT focused, and that there will be a kitchen sink mod pack without GT..

Yes, I've played a little and felt that way too.
And I'm glad to hear there will be a kitchen sink pack coming out soon. I think I'll wait for that instead. :)
 
My first attempt at playing the pack, so glad it has arrived! I always look at the optional mod list first, and according to the FTBwiki, Mobiuscore is required to run Opis, Waila and Jabba. Opis and Mobiuscore are disabled by default, but Waila and Jabba are enabled. Doesn't this mean Mobiuscore should be enabled by default instead of being listed as optional/disabled?

Played a few hours. After wondering around started with Thermal Expansion, just basic staff: Pulverizer + Steam Dynamo to be able to process ores. Then Induction Smelter and Energy cell. Found rolling machine with Hobby steam engine. In such way situation became normal. After bronze age I wonder what would be the next steps, since pack has rather limited content.
 
Had fun with it the last couple of days. We are starting up a server over on Lolnet. We spent a day building a central spawn and setting up the server, then last night ran off into the wilderness to build and die a bit. Haven't played with GT for a while, and it looks to have a lot more stuff to explore.
