Hey guys, been having a lot of trouble lately with this thing, I downloaded and have successfully played on the latest Direwolf20 pack (1.6.4) but when I try to install ANY texture pack that can go along with that modpack I get "Error: Texture Pack not found for selected mod pack's version!" So does this mean the texturepacks aren't updated to that yet, because I find it silly why it is in there at all if I can't use any of them for that modpack. More specifically I've been trying to get the Soartex: Fanver and JohnSmith Technicians Remix packs (more the second than the first) and still get the same error.

Here is the changelog post:

Welcome. Please use pastebin.com next time. There is a button on the console to do that. Pressing it generates a link at the bottom for where your log was saved. You post that link here so we can see your log without the wall of text here. Thanks.

Texture packs are still being tested as far as I remember. I was able to download the 1.6.4 Direwolf20 version of Soartex Fanver. The others aside from JadedCat's Mixpack gave me those errors. Make sure you choose Direwolf20 from the selection drop down box next to the Install Texturepack button. Also note that John Smith's lists all the 1.4.7 packs none of the 1.6.4 packs.

Well I did click the drop down box for Direwolf20 and still got the same error message, and will John Smith's stuff be updated because I personally prefer those textures better.

Both of these packs have a thread for them on these forums. John Smith's and Soartex. Note that John Smith's is presently being updated from what I read in that thread a few posts from the last. If you are good with adding addon textures then you might be able to get most of the textures, but not all. Also you might want to ask in the Soartex thread to see if there is a 32x or 16x version if those run better on your system than a 64x. Have you tried JadedCat's to see if you still get this error?

Using the filter settings set the filter to Direwolf20 for compatible pack. "Direwolf20 1.5 v2" and " Direwolf20 Pack" are the names used by the 1.5 texturepacks. I can't change those without messing up all the modpack and texturepack installations. Thats why Magic Farm 2 Tech World 2 etc have a "2" after their name.

Johnsmith's is not updated for 1.6. The only packs that have currently submitted updates are Soartex and JCMixpack. Unless the texturepack creator submits and update pack, we can't include an update.

Hm... Alright I'll jsut have to live with Soartex for the meantime, or default if the download stops working for some other stupid reason.[DOUBLEPOST=1391751307][/DOUBLEPOST]I'm actually downloading Soartex right now, but it seems to have just stopped, sitting at 20737kb/143796kb

You may not have a strong enough GPU to handle the 64x pack. The large texture packs especially in HD require more RAM and GPU than default :(

In that case something very odd is occurring. Have you tried installing either my pack or the soartex pack downloaded from their website? Its possible something has gotten messed up in the one on the launcher.

No surprise there, AGAIN, it crashes. Here is a crash report maybe you can make heads or tails of this...

We prefer that people use pastebin for logs because posting a txt file makes it impossible to read. But the error is related to memory. Can you post a console log to pastebin and link it here. Use the pastebin button from the console.

If you can't get a console log because the launcher and console crash then go to the options and tick 'reopen launcher after exiting minecraft' this will cause the launcher to reopen and you will be able to get the log.

I agree with UniZero about preferring pastebin. I had to search for xmx to find this info. Notice that you have only 1GB allocated. Try 4-5GB of your 8GB. There is a slider in the Options tab to do this.

I was thinking because of the gc overhead error that it maybe the environment variable issue. I wanted to see the full log to check to see if that was the case.
